The Impact of TV Series on Educational Concepts within the School Environment in Saudi Arabia: The Series “Thanawiyat Al-Naseem" as a Case Study

This study aimed to examine the impact of TV series on educational concepts within the Saudi school environment, using the series *Thanawiyat Al-Naseem* (Al-Naseem High School) as a case study. It sought to identify the mechanisms employed by the series to present and integrate these educational concepts, as well as ways to utilize the series as a narrative tool to reinforce such concepts among students. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the study utilized a questionnaire administered to a population comprising Saudi TV series, specifically focusing on *Thanawiyat Al-Naseem*. The findings revealed a significant positive relationship between the mechanisms used to present and integrate educational concepts in TV series and students' understanding of these concepts within the school environment; a statistically significant relationship was also found between the series and the reinforcement of educational concepts. Conversely, the study identified a statistically significant negative impact stemming from legal and cultural challenges and conflicting objectives, which hinder the full utilization of TV series as tools for reinforcing educational concepts in schools. Finally, the study recommended developing school-themed dramatic content to clearly present educational concepts and fostering collaboration between media and educational institutions in the production of such series to align their objectives and achieve educational goals.
